Surrendered dog just looks out the door waiting for his family to return

How does one explain to a dog surrendered to a shelter their family is never returning? Hearts break at the rescue organization Kibblez of Love in West Palm Beach, Florida as Chester runs back and forth to the door wondering why they haven’t been back to take him home.

Chester was returned after being with his family two-and-a-half-years.

“He’s scared, cries and he has a broken heart now. He’s great with kids and dogs. He needs a foster now…” the rescue posted on Thursday morning hoping that social media can help to find a loving home for this nearly perfect pooch.
