A dyed hot pink rabbit was discovered on Friday morning by Good Samaritans at the Nyack Memorial Park in New York. As if someone dyed the rabbit for their own selfish enjoyment and no longer wanted him, he was summarily abandoned in the park and left to die. After all, how does a domestic bunny survive on his own – much less colored bright pink?
Hi Tor Animal Care Center is asking for the public’s help and is hoping to find a safe foster home where the bunny can rest and recuperate. His veterinary appointment is scheduled for noon and updates will be provided as soon as the information is made available.
Anyone able to help is asked to contact [email protected].
Please share this little one’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts.
Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, Inc., is a privately incorporated 501(c)3, non-profit organization dedicated to the care of Rockland County’s homeless animals. We have a small paid staff, a volunteer Board of Directors, and many dedicated registered volunteers. We accept all domestic animals from within Rockland County that are brought in or surrendered to us, and we strive to find new homes for every adoptable pet in our care. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.
