Cage full of puppies abandoned at creek rescued by awesome Missouri sheriff

Admin

At the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Hillsboro, Missouri, Sergeant Dennis has been hailed as a hero for a litter of puppies on Wednesday afternoon, who had been abandoned in an improvised cage at a creek near House Springs.

Sgt. Dennis discovered the puppies and immediately contacted the Jefferson County Animal Control, Missouri for help.

The puppies are now being cared for and receiving lots of love and attention. It seems as if the puppies have quite the story to tell. Let’s begin here:

What you may not know is that we’ve been at Jefferson County Animal Control since we were found, and that they had been working to rescue us and our parents for the last month!

These puppies have become extremely popular. And for an even cooler surprise, they have since been reunited with their mom and dad! Don’t worry, mom and dad will be spayed and neutered so they never have puppies again.

The family is delighted to be back together, “but as you can see our mom has a bad case of the itchies.” The shelter will be looking for a rescue to take in the family, so if you know of anyone please have them call 636-797-5577!

And in the quest to fine the owners, Animal Control has found their previous owners and have some serious questions for them about the family left for dead.

Many thanks to the heroes who have saved so many innocent lives. Click here to find out how you can help.
