At the Kansas Animal Shelter in Wichita, volunteers witnessed a heartbroken and terrified dog being dragged into the city shelter by two men last week. The dog was just too scared to walk into the shelter on his own. Today, it is freedom for CMO2!
When the dog’s owner died two weeks ago, his world was turned upside down, and he could not understand what had happened to his owner and how his home had been traded for a kennel cage in a noisy shelter filled with lots of strangers and other scared dogs.
His heartbreaking story quickly went viral. Our hearts cried just looking at the photo with him lying in the lobby of the shelter – ready to be processed. His former family wouldn’t even leave the shelter staff the dog’s name.

He’s depressed, missing his owner that recently passed.
