Meet Pinky; she is a two-year-old chunky low-rider who is no longer “in the pink” after having been surrendered to the East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys, California.
And just in case you have been keeping a running account of the most ridiculous reasons owners have given to shelter personnel for surrendering their dogs, here’s another one even more absurd to add to the list:
What is the main reason(s) you’re giving up this dog? “Face Deformity”
What are your favorite things about this dog? “She is my friend.”
Pinky spent her life outside 24/7, and one can only imagine how sad she is inside of her kennel cage. On Thursday, she received a much needed bath and then her advocate, Sherry, was able to walk her around the shelter and sit with her in the lobby.
In the past, Pinky did live with children, but for now she needs a quiet home where she can successfully transition into her new life where she can live indoors, sleep on a soft bed and just decompress.
Share Pinky’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Doesn’t Pinky deserve better?
