On Monday, Tiny is scheduled to be ‘put to sleep’ at Miami-Dade Animal Services. His destiny with death is only hours away, but it is hoped if his story is told, someone will step forward and rescue this dog.
Tiny’s human died from Covid-19 in June 2021, and the dog was subsequently placed with relatives who promised his dying owner they would love and care for the dog. Five days later, Tiny arrived at the shelter, and the family walked away – no goodbyes and no promises they would try and help him find a new home. Instead, they turned Tiny into the shelter as a stray so they would not have to pay the surrender fee.
“The shelter is saying I’m 2 years old and gave me a new name because they weren’t told the truth, but someone who knows me and my mommy shared the information about me in hopes my story will give me a chance. My REAL NAME is #Tiny not Rambo. My real age is 9 not 2. My mommy took wonderful care of me, but the family members caused me harm in those 5 days. I came into the shelter with wounds on my face which are healing slowly.
Please will someone help heal my broken heart? Will someone please love me like my mommy did? I promise to love you back.”
