A TikTok viral video has melted hearts all through the Internet. A German shepherd with three legs was adopted by a veteran who lost one of his legs during deployment – the tears have since flowed with happiness all over social media.
The Inland Valley Humane Society introduced viewers to a German shepherd with just one front leg. The text under the photo stated:
“This dog came in with a fractured right leg our vet staff had to amputate the leg. After a month here… you won’t believe who adopted him. He was so excited to meet his adopter.”
“This veteran lost his leg during deployment. We wish them the best on their future adventures.”

And then the video moves to a man sitting on a bench outside of the Pomona, California shelter with the dog standing next to him. The man’s prosthetic leg is visible. The video continues to be viewed and has been “liked” by millions of viewers. The comments after the video are kind and inspiring. So many people cried – it surely was a beautiful moment in time.
The video ends with the two walking out of the shelter together. May you both Dane and Kane live long lives together.
