The rescue organization ThisIsHouston had been hosting a vetting clinic in Cleveland, Texas on Sunday when a woman brought in two puppies she had rescued from a nearby property. Their eyes told their heartbreaking story of neglect.
Much too often, puppies with severe skin issues become anemic and can become very ill very quickly. The smallest puppy needed medical attention immediately, and once volunteers saw the older pup’s pleading eyes, they couldn’t leave her behind either.
Both puppies have been transferred to Vergi 24/7 and are being examined by the staff. They will be administered intravenous fluids, and their physical assessment will tell their stories and what they will need to become healthy and playful puppies once again.
It’s always good news when two more puppies are rescued and leave Cleveland.
