His name is Dasher, and this energetic young two-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix is just misunderstood. He was surrendered to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center five months ago, and who can blame him for wanting to be free to run and play.
Dasher is a neutered male cattle dog/husky looking mix that came into the shelter as an owner surrender on June 2, 2021. He has been labeled “Rescue Only” due to handling sensitivity.

According to his medical notes, on October 6, diarrhea was noted in kennels during morning rounds.
“Possible dietary indiscretion/sensitivities, protozoal, parasitic. Treated with Panacur and Metronidazole.Behavior note (dated 7/7/21)
“Dasher is social with other large dogs, and prefers a push/pull playstyle.” Needs training in basic manners.
RESCUE ONLY NOTES: (Last note dated 8/18/21 indicates that while on leash Dasher began biting the ACA on the shoes, he then jumped up and bit her in the hand. The bite did not break skin but did leave markings.
