This incredibly sweet dog dubbed “Dawn” (and at times “Foxy) is only a year-and-a-half-old, yet the Riverside County Department of Animal Services in San Jacinto have already signed orders for her euthanasia.
Dawn is a Queensland heeler mix and has been at the shelter for 12 days staring out between the bars of her shelter cage hoping to see her family return for her. Sadly, no one has shown up. Still, she is an amazing pup, and has been reported to have done well with another dog in her kennel.
Her tail was wagging the entire time and even though she was feally sick, she came to the front to greet me every time i passed.

Sadly, Dawn has been feeling the stress of being locked in a kennel 23 out of 24 hours a day. In addition, she also came down with a bad respiratory infection, and as soon as the shelter officials realize how sick she is, the order to euthanize her immediately will be issued.
Foxy is believed to already be spayed and weighs 58 lbs so she may be mixed with some shepherd too. She arrived fearful which is understandable being likely abandoned.

The San Jacinto shelter is reported to be in the middle of nowhere where few dogs ever are seen and too many are euthanized because they never get a chance. Please share this dog’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts.
