Stray Rescue of St. Louis often receives heartbreaking pleas from members of the community for help with neglected and abused dogs. So many dogs have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves; so many heartbroken pets waiting for their humans to return. And Saturday was no different for this poor guy; it was perhaps the worst day of this dog’s life.
It was assumed he had been dumped at this warehouse on Locust Street with his bed. He was too afraid to move and too afraid to eat. He tried his best to be invisible, and all he wanted to do was hide. And then rescuer Donna came along. Soft words, kind gestures and slow moves – the big, “scary” dog just wanted someone to be kind to him.

His new name is Dock, and already everyone has fallen in love with him. Dock will never be abandoned or scared again.
