He doesn’t even have a name, but volunteers at Beauties and Beasts, Inc. are pleading for help saving his young life. It’s a heartbreaking situation for volunteers to see a dog like this just paralyzed with fear.
This terrified dog is identified as HMO5, and he arrived at the shelter a few days ago as a stray. He is not a candidate to be transferred to the the Kansas Humane Society because he is fearful. Volunteers were heartbroken watching him trembling in his shelter kennel. He would allow light touching, but then retreated into the corner. There is reportedly no space for him in the canine courage program.
“We cannot imagine the crippling fear he is experiencing locked away in a scary place surrounded by the cries of other dogs and staring out from behind the bars at unfamiliar people with no way out.
What are we ever going to do? We need help! They need YOU!”

According to the non-profit animal rescue organization, the Wichita Animal Shelter is full and has been begging for assistance to find placement for more than 40 dogs – some have been at the shelter for more than a month and space is quickly becoming limited. Tragically, the number of dogs listed for euthanasia keeps getting longer. Dogs that are not able to qualify as candidates for transfer to the Humane Society are in danger of being put to sleep.
If you can foster any of these special pups and save their lives, please contact www.beautiesandbeasts.org or contact a rescue you know can help.
