Virginia – A dog has miraculously survived being put into a garbage bag and buried alive by her owner. The pit bull mix, named Lily, was rescued after a witness called the Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office to report that a woman had buried a dog at the Jones Trailer Park on Cox Road.
The authorities arrested 33-year-old Tiffany Camp for felony animal cruelty.
The dog survived being buried but she is in “rough shape.” She is receiving care at the Chesdin Animal Hospital. On January 14, the Dinwiddie County Animal Control posted an update to Facebook followers, writing:
To everyone that has called and asked to make donations towards Lilly’s care; we are taking monetary donations in Lilly’s name for her medical care.
For everyone who has asked she is still under medical treatment at this time and is making improvements but she is still not out of the woods.
We also want to let everyone know that we had a group reach out to us offering to pay for Lilly’s medical care.
Thank you everyone for reaching out!
Camp was taken to Meherrin River Regional Jail.
