A dog who had a huge plastic container stuck over his head, giving him no access to food or water, became the subject of a rescue effort with as many as 35 people spread out in the Gadsden, Alabama area trying to help him.
According to the Gadsden Times, on Saturday, Brittany Dunn had been delivering mail when she spotted the dog on Scenic Highway and pulled over to try and help. Even with the help of another Good Samaritan, the two were not able to capture the pooch.
There was no way to know how long the dog had been trapped with the container over his head, and it was important to rescue him since it was impossible for the dog to either drink or eat. When Brittany posted the photo of the dog on her Facebook page, rescuers notified Jolene Fagin of Fagin’s Haven Rescue as the search for the dog continued.
Finally, the dog was spotted, and it was Ashley Smith who was able to remove the jug.

The dog was tired and hungry, but otherwise survived his scary ordeal. It is not known if he is a stray, had been dumped or was lost. It is suspected the jug was a cheese puff one and possibly one or two had been left on the bottom of the jug while the dog reached in for the treat.
Check out his video after he was saved:

Hopefully, his family is looking for him; if not he will be up for adoption. We will stay in touch.
