On Saturday morning, a helpless pup waited for his family to come home just as he has been doing daily for an unknown amount of time. Sadly, that was not to be; the dilapidated house in Melrose Place, Texas was vacant, and Bravo’s loyalty to his family was only one-sided.
A Good Samaritan spotted the puppy, now named Bravo, and this is where his story begins. She didn’t look away nor did she walk away as other area residents had done; instead she called out for help. Bravo was no longer invisible.
By Saturday afternoon, Bravo arrived at Abbott’s Animal Clinic, and after a preliminary physical examination, it was determined Bravo is still a puppy and likely no more than ten-months-old. Oh, what a terrible and neglected short life he has had, and the goal today was to stabilize the puppy’s condition.
Melrose Park Neglected Dogs, a group of dedicated friends, and rely on rescue organizations to help take in these dogs to provide them with vetting, care and future adoptive homes. The dogs rescued are of all sizes, all breeds and include all degrees of neglect and abuse. All dogs are ultimately vetted, spayed and neutered before going to rescue organizations, and the money raised from donations enable these volunteers to carry on their work.
If you would like to donate my preference is calling the vet directly at 281-893-5000 for Bravo they are open seven days a week. (8-9pm)
An approved rescue organization is needed. If interested, please call or text 832-995-6404.
