At 10-years-old Trinity was surrendered to a shelter in North Carolina. The tiny Shih Tzu mix was so matted the staff at the shelter were unable to tell if the filthy pooch was a male or a female. Because she was such a mess, and perhaps wanting to give her a chance to be adopted, Trinity was sent to a local groomer to be shaved down; at least make her more comfortable for a few days.
Tragically, it wasn’t long before her groomer discovered she had been so matted that it had cut off the circulation to her foot, and the bottom of her limb had literally fallen off. One can only imagine the pain Trinity must have endured.
Happy Tails Rescue has stepped up to help this dog, and Trinity has already been resting comfortably in a foster home receiving medical treatment and love. Trinity will no longer be unloved, unwanted, neglected or scared.
