Meet Oso – a senior pup estimated to be 17-years-old and surrendered to the shelter after having been tied to the back of the owner’s pickup truck. Anyone can see how depressed Oso already is – his fate soon to be sealed. According to Oso’s owner, he was surrendered to the shelter because of his advanced age and because the other dogs in the home have been picking on him.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC have been asked to help.
Oso is able to walk and stand, and he is eating and drinking well. Yes, it takes him time to stand and when he walks, it’s very slow. The shelter posted the following plea:
We have x-rays available for any interested rescue, currently awaiting for our relief veterinarian to review them. He also has bloody urine.
Oso unfortunately needs more care than we can provide within the shelter environment, so we are asking if any rescues might have the means to help this senior boy find placement. Our medical team is pushing for him to find a placement by the end of the day today, pending his health.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC needs funding to help this dog. Please share this dog’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. Follow Oso’s heartbreaking journey here.
