Last week, a dog who had spent two years at a Mississippi animal shelter finally found a home. The Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter shared the heartwarming story about how Whitney was adopted by a “hero” who came to the shelter looking for the dog who had been at the shelter the longest The animal welfare agency writes:
He said, “I just retired and I want to take a dog home, who’s been here the longest?”
He walked down the rows with me and he actually pointed at Whitney, who was jumped up and all wiggles. I said – “that’s actually her, she’s been here 2 years.”
The shelter added:
Today, Whitney, with her sweet scarred up face and wiggly spirit, who lived with her family of dogs and people who loved her at the shelter (Judy, Krystal, Courtney, Jada, Jeanie, Ashley, Meg, Jennifer and many others) Went. Home. Thank you to her new daddy, you will be missed little girl but we are all so happy for you! WHITNEY HAS LEFT THE SHELTER Don’t ever give up hope
Congratulations Whitney, enjoy your new life!
