Humane officers from the Youngstown Police Department were notified by a concerned citizen about an especially disturbing situation where three dogs were being kept in horrendous conditions.
The humane agent arrived at the property located on the south side of Youngstown and was able to remove the three dogs – two puppies and their mother. They all had been living in isolation and have had no socialization. The puppies only have each other and cling to each other in fear.
The dogs have all been placed in the care of Animal Charity of Ohio and are being given veterinary care. It is expected to be a slow process socializing the dogs who have been neglected and denied human contact.
