A dog, worn out and cold, found himself hopelessly stuck in mud in a canal off Minton Road in Palm Bay, Florida. Fortunately, someone saw the dog’s predicament and reached out to Palm Bay Police Department.
On Wednesday, the authorities recounted the situation on social media, writing:
This morning, we received a call from a citizen stating a dog appeared stuck in the mud in a canal off Minton Road. Our officers arrived and confirmed the dog was, in fact, stuck and unable to free itself. K9 Officer Carrol sprung into action and was able to rescue the dog!
According to the police, the water was cold and it appeared that the golden retriever had been stuck for quite a while. The dog was not wearing a collar and had no form of identification, but after a short period of time, the police let everyone know that an owner had been found, and that the dog was “home and safe” with his owner.
Good work Palm Bay Police!!
