In Valley Stream, Long Island an out of control dog man faces animal cruelty charges after he allegedly slammed his eight-month-old puppy against the floor seriously injuring the dog.
According to the Daily Voice, Dayn Rodriquez, 23, was arrested on Saturday by the Nassau County Police Department after he seriously injured the puppy he shares with his girlfriend at their home.
Police reports state Rodriquez grabbed the golden doodle, Nune, by his neck and rear end area and slammed him onto the floor. The puppy suffered a compound fracture to his hind leg. The pup was taken to the Crawford Animal Hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
Rodriquez has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty and second-degree criminal mischief.
The puppy’s condition is not known.
