Massachusetts woman alleged to have tortured caged dog with shock collar

In Bellerica,Massachusetts a woman is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly torturing a dog with a shock collar and abusing another.

According to Boston25News, Amanda Cianciulli, 36, of Centerville, was arrested on Friday, April 19th, 2024, and charged with two counts of animal cruelty, after Billerica police received videos showing disturbing acts of animal cruelty. According to investigators, the videos depicted Cianciulli using a shock collar on a caged dog and hitting another dog with an object while restraining it.

Billerica police became aware of the videos earlier this year and launched an investigation. Cianciulli was arrested and charged with two counts of animal cruelty. All four dogs in her care were taken into custody by Billerica Animal Control and are currently undergoing veterinary evaluation. Their future placement will likely be determined by the court.
