A young black German shepherd dubbed Onyx arrived at the South East Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) in Downey, California as a stray on July 6, 2022. She was found in the City of South Gate.
As can be seen by her distressing photo, she was covered in ticks. It is not known at this time if the ticks have been removed. Onyx was so scared when animal cruelty officers had to use a catch pole on her. Being housed in an outside kennel is probably not making life any better for this frightened pup.
Onyx will be available for adoption on July 12, and at this time she will likely be listed for euthanasia. What are the chances of anyone wanting her? Please change her destiny – share her plight with friends, family, approved rescue organizations and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
