Meet Willow, and look at her sweet face. Her fate will soon be sealed in the back room of Apple Valley Animal Services; not because the shelter staff want to end her life, but because no one has offered to foster or adopt her and the shelter is currently over capacity.
The six-month-old Australian shepherd/terrier lost her home when her owner’s landlord said the family had too many dogs. It didn’t matter that she is good with people, good with children and gets along fine with other dogs. No one wants her; is it because she already weighs 55-pounds and people are afraid she is going to grow too big?
