Knoxville, Tennessee – An elderly dog, described as the “cutest little guy,” is in need of a loving new home after his former owner surrendered him without explanation. The dog, named Peanut, gets excited for food, and his humans, and he loves to be wrapped up in warm blankets.
Slumdog Rescue Crew – Friends of Anderson County Shelter took Peanut in less than a week after he was surrendered to the Anderson County shelter in late May. He is currently in a foster home, but the animal welfare agency is hopeful that someone will want to take Peanut in for the remainder of his life.
Peanut’s ideal home would include an owner who would like to hug and cuddle him. A home where he can enjoy his daily naps and a quiet pace of life. The rescue group said:
He does well with other dogs his energy. We are unsure about cats. He does fine with older children, 10 years +. He’s small and fragile and that’s the only reason for the older children He’s a delightful little man and we would love to help him find his forever home!
