At the Huntsville Animal Services in Alabama, five-year-old Arch arrived as a stray. What kind of life had this sweet dog been living with a huge tumor on his foot? Three veterinarians with collectively 75 years of experience had never seen anything like it, however Arch would receive the best of care. He was soon scheduled for surgery.

This is a tough video to watch, but there is hope. He is a nervous, but a friendly dog. He is thin, but eating. He seems to be social with both people and dogs.

Surgery was a success! It was truly a miracle; the tumor was removed and Arch only lost one toe. Dr. Hudnell painstakingly dissected the mass and closed the incision. The staff at HAS supported the surgeon with the anesthesia management, intravenous fluids and all other surgical needs.
And now Arch has a future. From his kennel after his surgery, Arch headed to his foster home with Bama Bully Rescue. His new mom is experienced, knowledgeable and already has a soft spot in her heart for this sweet boy.
Donations should be made to Bama Bully Rescue. Arch will be needing aftercare, and he sure could use the help and support of his new friends. Updates to follow.
