Logan’s Legacy, a rescue organization that helps abandoned animals in California, is run by Suzette Hall. Once the pets are rescued, Hall provides them with veterinary care and foster homes until they are well enough to find their adoptive homes. Just yesterday, Suzette rescued two dogs that had been left to fend for themselves in El Monte Nature Preserve two weeks earlier. Fortunately, a kind woman had been feeding them.
This is where they waited:

The dogs had likely been dumped in the one spot where they both stayed; as if waiting for their owner to return. And they waited… and waited.
I couldn’t let them wait anymore. Big dogs are so hard to find a place to go, but they had suffered and waited long enough through the rain, through the first heat wave. They waited!
Because they are loyal. They thought you were coming back.

When Suzette arrived at the area where the dogs had been living, it was deserted except for a few warehouses. The dogs were extremely hungry, however it took time to gain the trust of the less skittish one. When Suzette was finally able to get close and pet him, she deftly slipped the lead around his neck and was able to lead him to her van.

The other dog, a female, had no interest in the trap anymore; she had been so bonded to her friend she was frantic to join him and ran around and around and finally jumped into the van on her own to join her friend.
Finally after so much time I had them safe. Finally they were rescued. Finally they didn’t have to wait anymore.

And now one day later, the two dogs who had been abandoned in a remote area and left to die, have been saved. Their names are Emma (tan dog) and Camryn (brown dog) and they are under the care of Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine. They will need to be spayed and neutered in additional to any veterinarian care they require including all vaccinations.
