Nine puppies barely three weeks old dumped in an orange grove in Texas

Admin

Nine puppies were barely three-weeks-old when some heartless human dumped them in an orange grove in the northern part of Texas. On Wednesday evening, Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform posted the heartbreaking story of these defenseless, tiny lives; puppies who still had no teeth, and one had just been opening his eyes.

This is how the discovery of these innocent lives began:

A volunteer was working in the orange 🍊 grove and noticed movement she thought it was a kitten! To her surprise it was a puppy not one puppy but 9 puppies!!! No mom they searched and nothing these puppies were scattered in stickers, high grass a little at this age would be in their den. They would NOT be wondering as they do not have the survival skills yet another reason we know the mom was not there.

Most likely the puppies had been tossed out into orange grove from the road. They had absolutely no chances to survive, and when discovered two of the puppies had already died; the other puppies were not far from a similar fate, and of course they could not have been left behind.

The rescuer gathered up the puppies and rushed them to her home where she began feeding them. Some of the puppies latched on to the nursing bottles, while others were just too weak. Five more of the puppies died overnight. The good news, however is that two of the puppies survived.

Had the owner of the mother of these puppies simply taken her to a veterinarian, a clinic, or followed one of the many free and low cost spay and neuter programs frequently made available to pet owners with limited budgets, this would have never happened. Shelters and rescues are full of puppies and unwanted dogs – and so much of this doesn’t have to be.

Today is our largest fundraiser and we truly need your help these cases is what Dallas DogRRR is about we will always do our best, stop at nothing please donate to our North Texas Giving Day Site help us meet our goal so we can continue these lifesaving miracles.
