In Columbia, California, Emily Moreno loved the laid back disposition of her black pit bull mix – Ranger. He came into the family shortly after the birth of her oldest child, and for the last seven years had been Emily’s bestie – a kind ear to confide in, those bedroom brown eyes taking in all the adventures of the day and oh … that comfortable couch where it made no difference if the door bell rang or someone came into the room. That couch was the perfect place for Ranger to nap on his back; and life was perfect.
Ranger was a rescue pooch – our favorite breed by far, and he had become part of Emily’s family when the three-year-old sweet pup was adopted from a shelter.
Tragically, life doesn’t go as planned and dogs always leave us too soon. Let’s face it – dogs should live as long as humans.
A look into our last few days with our best friend. We are broken. We will never forget you Ranger dog. Please watch over us. We will never stop praying for your comfort and safety in Heaven. Life will never be the same.

One day, Ranger hadn’t been feeling well; later tests revealed he had cancer, and it was an aggressive form. His life ended much too soon.
The best boy. He loves his toys, car rides, camping, walks, sleeping under a blanket, and mostly, his family. He was our best friend and the most loyal dog. I miss him so much. Rest in peace Ranger.
We are absolutely devastated and not sure how to process this new life without him. ..Life will never be the same. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you Ranger. Mama loves you so much. Thank you for everything.
