In Carson, California area, people just walked by a young stray pup on the streets. The shepherd mix had been tossed away like trash. She was little more than skin draped loosely on her bones, and she suffered in silence.
When Suzette Hall, founder of the rescue, Logan’s Legacy 29 started in memory of her son, was asked by Good Samaritans to help, she didn’t hesitate.
Every day I feel him lead me to animals in need through street rescue.

Suzette knew the rescue person and team who had been trying to help the dog, soon to be dubbed Coral, but because of the dog’s condition, there was nowhere to take her locally. That’s when Suzette used her influence to transfer the dog to Camino Pet Hospital.
This poor baby needed a doctor and fast. Suffering in pain all by herself on the painful streets.
Today she is feeling better. Got multiple tests done. And on meds to make her feel better. And much needed food.

And now with professional veterinarian care which revealed she was undernourished, full of worms and suffering from a tick borne disease, Coral will slowly recover. She will be fostered while she puts on weight and regains her strength. As with so many dogs who have been rescued from the streets, Coral is sweet and grateful for the help.
What would happen if there were no gentle heroes to rescue these throwaways?
