In another emotional demonstration of a dog’s loyalty and love for his owner, a man named Zhang discovered a dog sitting patiently in front of a funeral home in China’s Hubei province. The heartbreaking discovery on April 10, moved readers on the social media platform Douyin to tears.
In China, Douyin is the most popular short video app, and it is one of the most visited social media platforms in the country. As on TikTok, the videos on Douyin appear in a vertical format and users swipe up for the next video clip.
In this particular video clip, the disabled dog had refused to leave the funeral home, and that was five days after his owner had been cremated and buried. The staff at the funeral home stated the dog had not moved; the compassionate workers had been feeding him.
According to the South China Morning Post, a local rescue organization arrived at the funeral home and are now caring for the dog. The owner of the rescue promised to adopt the dog and said the sad pup would no longer be alone.
Humans have a lot to learn from dogs for sure.
