At a dog adoption event in Brooklyn, New York last weekend, hosted by Badass Animal Rescue, one small pooch named Bob Parr didn’t seem to have drawn any attention as the camera panned in on the pooch and his handler all by themselves.
In a TikTok video posted by Andrea Caceres, an illustrator who goes by @PetArtByAndrea, the busy event at Central Park showed the sad little pup. And nearly four million views later, Bob became a household name – a pup who needed a home.
POV: you are at an adoption event and all the adoptable dogs are getting attention except for … Bob. Please someone get him a forever home.
He is the sweetest pup. 3 Y/O very chill and perfect size for a NYC apart. available at Badass…

Even though so many followers shed tears just thinking that no one wanted anything to do with Bob, it seems that Bob has been in a very loving foster home and is just the shy type. For the past few months, his foster mom has been working with him, and the little guy was more overwhelmed at the number of people and other dogs at the adoption event.
Bob’s PetFinder information states he was named after the Pixar character because of his “great strength.”
Like his namesake, Bob Parr (AKA Mr. Incredible), is nothing less than a superhero. After being dropped off at a shelter in Georgia with his wife, Helen Parr, and two puppies, Jack-Jack and Dash, and rebounding from some health issues, he’s ready to save the world — or at least make a new family’s world that much better.
As incredible as he is, though, it may take Bob some time to show his superpowers to his new family. Underneath his burly, 10-pound exterior, this 3-year-old is a scared, timid guy who needs a patient adopter willing to gain his trust and love. But once they do, they’ll soon find his strong-guy exterior is a front for a heart of gold — he’s a big softie who just wants to cuddle and get his head scratched all day long.
Bob is still working on his street and leash confidence and house-training, although he’s a smart guy who has made a lot of progress. He needs a confident, dedicated adopter who can continue to help him master these skills.
Bob’s update:
As to Bob’s latest update, he is receiving tons of interest and several applications. The rescue is currently busy working on finding the best and right home for him as soon as possible. Due to the overwhelming interest, they are no longer taking applications for him.
Please note there are 42 other amazing dogs who, just like Bob, are looking for their forever families. If you are interested in adopting, the first step in the process is to complete an adoption application, link in bio.
