When a Good Samaritan tried to help a dog that seemingly had fallen into a deep hole, the injured pup cried out in pain. The soft-hearted person had no intentions, however of leaving the dog alone and likely left to die on his own. He reached out to Animal Aid Unlimited, a hospital and rescue service for injured and ill unowned street animals in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Dovey had half-buried himself as if he was ready to die. One can only imagine how frightened he was – starving, in pain and seemingly no hope for anyone helping him. Fortunately, his rescuer arrived, and as he gently lifted the dog out of the hole, the emaciated dog was too weak to even stand. A deep wound spread across the back of Dovey’s neck, and as he was lifted out from the hole, the poor pup quietly cried in pain, yet made no attempt to harm the man helping him.
Dovey so dearly wanted help, and he was cooperative, gentle and affectionate as the team of veterinarians and aids cleaned, applied antibiotics and closed his serious injuries.
The wound healed remarkably fast, as he began to eat and his body condition transformed a “healthy, glistening and extraordinary dear.
