Rescuers wasted no time helping a young pregnant dog who suffered two broken legs after having been kicked by a horse. Friends of Emma Medical Rescues, a major medical organization located in Amarillo, Texas, dedicated to helping the homeless pets, stepped up and offered their immediate support.
Details about the dog’s accident have not been verified, but numerous accounts about the heartbreaking situation states the dog had been suffering for days. It is thought the owners did not have the funds to help the dog they claim had been a stray just a week prior that had wandered onto the farm and into the barn where the horses were kept.
The following account has been provided for clarity:
On Tuesday evening, the Friends of Emma Medical Rescue accepted responsibility for the dog and after receiving immediate surrender authorized her transfer to an emergency veterinary hospital in the previous owner’s city. On Wednesday, after receiving care and proper pain management, the dog will be making the six-hour journey to the rescue organization located in Amarillo.
Late last evening, it was been confirmed the dog arrived at the emergency veterinarian care center and was being stabilized.
Check out her video taken by the previous owners shortly after this tragic, heartbreaking situation occurred. And through all her pain, this sweet dog doesn’t even try to lash out at anyone.
