Birmingham, England – A dog who was being dragged behind a woman riding on a mobility scooter in the Erdington area of Birmingham has been found and rescued. As reported by MSN News, officials with West Midlands Police and the RSPCA worked together and located the dog.

An RSPCA spokesperson told Metro.co.uk:

‘A dog who was seen in a video posted online has been seized by police and is now in RSPCA care and being checked over by a vet. Our enquiries are ongoing so we won’t be releasing any further information at this time but we’d like to thank West Midlands Police for assisting with this investigation and helping to find the dog so quickly.’

People who witnessed the shocking situation were horrified and attempted to get the woman to stop. On video, a man can be yelling at the woman, telling her that her dog is hitting the curb and that she is hurting him. The woman continues on her way, seemingly oblivious to her dog’s suffering.
