Hawaii – On Tuesday, a rescue group in Keaau assured the unknown person who abandoned their pup with a note that she was safe. The Aloha Ilio Rescue posted photos of the young dog, writing:
To the person who left Malu tied to a post with this note:
We got her. Although it’s never best to leave a dog this way because she could have been taken by someone with bad intentions or the weather could have turned bad, but, we understand that sometimes circumstances are dire.
Though the group does not recommend abandoning a pet who can no longer be kept, they did commend Malu’s former owner for doing a good job with her. They said:
She is obviously well loved, she is friendly and in good condition. You did a nice job with her. We will fix her and find her an amazing home. We promise.
Adding that they hoped her owner finds themself in “a better place” than they were today.
