Oodles of Doodles surrendered to shelter creates overwhelming response

Murphysboro, IL – This week, oodles of doodles were surrendered to an animal shelter in Illinois, and the response has been overwhelming. The surrendered puppies, totaling 19, generated a deluge of adoption applications at St. Francis Community Animal Rescue & Education.

Just a day ago, the animal welfare agency said:

The DOODLES have arrived!
We had 19 Labradoodles surrendered to us this week. They are 8 weeks old and ready to go.
The adoption fee is $300 and includes their spay/neuter, vaccines and microchip. A refundable surgery deposit is also required and will be refunded once the spay or neuter is completed.

And in short order, the post was updated to let Facebook followers know that no more applications were being accepted:

Update: We have received an overwhelming number of applications for these pups. We have decided that we are no longer accepting applications. For those who have applied, please give us a little time to process the applications.

The Doodle pups may be spoken for, but there are still MANY deserving dogs at the shelter waiting for their chance to be chosen. You can find the adoptable dogs at the shelter at this link.
