At the Miami Dade Animal Services, four-year-old Mikey hasn’t had much luck finding someone to love him. Since July he has waited; so alone and forgotten, and all has are his toy and blanket to comfort him.
Mikey is a good boy, and once he is taken out of his kennel at the shelter, he loves walking outside and is non reactive to other dogs. His leash skills have greatly improved, and he seems to delight carrying his toy around on his walks. Mikey is getting stressed at the shelter, and he really needs to find a calm home to decompress and feel love.
He is a great sweet dog who is so afraid of the loud noises at the shelter. Please begging help for him.
11/22 Notes from shelter:
Mikey is anxious in the shelter and would benefit from rescue. He chews on his toy when in kennel and utilizes any blanket given to him to rest. He can be mouthy with the leash in the kennel, but once outside walks well and is non-reactive to other dogs, we suspect this behavior is due to in-shelter stress and may resolve in a home environment. His walking skills have improved and he seems to enjoy carrying his toy around on walks.

I am a male gray and white American Bulldog mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old and I weigh 65 pounds. I was found as a stray and I am available for adoption. |

Mikey is alone and forgotten, but someone can change all of this. Sadly the shelter is full and near capacity which means, without any warning, Mikey could be euthanized to make room for another dog. Please share his plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
