NovaStar Rescue is a small nonprofit organization located in Dover Arkansas. Their main focus is to advocate, educate, rescue and rehabilitate dogs with a special emphasis placed on the bully breeds. To these volunteers with big hearts, it doesn’t matter if the dogs arrive from off the streets, out of the shelters, or owner surrenders, every pitbull type deserves a chance at a good home where they will be loved and cherished.
On Friday, volunteers received a call about a starving dog in the area. Upon arrival the owner was willing to surrender her. And what did the rescuers find? Meet Snowy – every bone in her body could be seen and felt under her too thin winter coat. How she even stayed warm was a mystery.
She is said to be a retriever mix. I’m sure she has every parasite known to veterinary medicine. The healing starts today. Welcome Snowy to NovaStar.
