Senior pup finding out it’s a harder sell finding a new family

Admin

Meet Bartron; a fine older gentlemen with impeccable manners. He’s graying around the temples and his jowls, but nevertheless, isn’t age just a number? Still Bartron is finding that being of a certain age makes it much more difficult to find a new family.

At the Georgia based non-profit, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Bartron was rescued in July 2022. It had been clear he didn’t have much kindness earlier in his life, and he had been just another senior throwaway. He had been on the urgent list at the time from the local shelter, but his rescuers saw hope in those sad eyes which had carried years of sadness. His family never returned for him, but Bartron was safe; a warm bath, a reassuring caress, a soft bed and a lot of people telling him life would be better.

Soulful senior seeking a quiet home where he will be well-loved. Bartron is a new angel and needs a foster or adopter. He is 11 years old and about 60 pounds.

This sweet boy loves a squeaky toy and has had positive interactions with other dogs. Bartron hasn’t had the easiest journey so far and would appreciate some time to decompress and settle into a new home. A home without children or lots of activity would be best.

Facebook July 2022

Bartron is a lean, tall pooch weighing in about 60 pounds, He gets along fine with other dogs and loves to play. This guy is definitely “young at heart.” After a fun time at the playground, it’s time to settle down for a nap and some snuggles. Those “gangly legs fit into a small ball” and Bartron becomes lap-sized.

So what’s not to like? He probably won’t chew on those new fuzzy slippers you received for Christmas. He will probably tell you in his own way he wants to go outdoors for his bathroom time, and he will adore being babied and loved.

Please share Bartron’s story with friends, family and social media contacts. Come and meet him. You can apply to donate/ adopt, through the Angels website or email [email protected] to find out more about the process.
