On May 6, in Riviera Beach, Florida, this beautiful, friendly dog was found injured on the side of the road. She had been lying on her side, had labored breathing and had sustained multiple puncture wounds. Fortunately, officers from animal control for Palm Beach County arrived and brought her to the shelter.

No microchip has been found, and she’s on stray hold until 5/11.
Medical Notes: She has severe deep animal bite wounds – several punctures and lacerations noted throughout her head and forelimbs with significant drainage. Laceration repair was performed on her right front leg. She’s bright and alert and appears comfortable. Good appetite and the swelling to the right front paw is significantly reduced and she’s bearing more pressure and weight to the limb.
Staff Notes: Super friendly. She wags her tail and solicits pets as soon as you approach her.
Request to Rescues: This sweet girl needs urgent rescue due to her medical issues. She’s going to need wound management and healing with appropriate continued analgesia. She’s a super sweet girl who deserves a second chance in a loving home. Her needs are beyond our capacity for care at this time.
