In San Antonio, Texas, one-year-old Copper is scheduled to die by humane euthanasia on Tuesday because no one has offered to either foster or adopt him. Staff members sing his praises, and everyone has tears in their eyes thinking this sweet dog, with a great disposition, will soon be taking the lonely walk down the hall where his life will end.
He seems very gentle and sits for treats (without being asked) patiently waiting while giving the sweetest tail wags. He’s noted to be social with other dogs and is just the sweetest boy!
It is unknown how Copper ended up as a stray, as he arrived at the shelter wearing his green harness. Could someone be looking for him? He seems to be very healthy, and surely Copper is wondering why his family has not come for him.
