At the Carson Animal Care Center in Carson, California, the shelter staff has been reaching out to animal advocates for urgent assistance and help with two-year-old Ursula – a female Mastiff that came to the shelter as a stray on January 6, 2023.
At this time, the staff is worried about Ursula’s declining and concerning behavior in the shelter environment, and they are hoping for assistance from the right organization or person for a chance to allow Ursula to thrive out of kennel life. Based on her behavior, she has been listed as “rescue only” with a waiver due to her lack of socialization and handling sensitivities.
The frightened dog was found by a Good Samaritan tied to a chain link fence at Wilson Park in Carson. One can only imagine how she must have felt to have been tied up and then abandoned and how this entire experience has affected her young life.
Ursula is strikingly beautiful, but does have cherry eyes which can be easily corrected.
