At the Associated Humane Society Popcorn Park shelter in New Jersey, a nine-year-old “Little Princess” named Ja’dore is back at the shelter, and our hearts are broken.
Three years ago, Ja’dore had been adopted from the Newark facility, after having been found as a stray, but as it too often happens, getting a bit older seems to be related to feeling those pesky allergies even more. And sadly, that’s what happened to this adorable Shih Tzu who is perfectly behaved, perfect on a leash, perfectly house trained and gets along with mild-mannered dogs and cats.
Sadly, this adorable Shih Tzu’s escalating medical care costs and needs made it impossible for her current owners, even though they loved her very much, to keep her. And here she is – back at the shelter.
Ja’dore is now on Cytopoint injections, and she’s also on some meds to treat her skin and ears, and she’s starting to feel better already! She will need allergy injections going forward or a similar allergy medication. None of this gets the “little princess” down though, and she is such a sweetheart.
She needs to continue getting well in a great, loving home, and she hopes you’ll give her a chance!
