At the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services, a pair of three-month-old puppies need to be rescued. The American staffie blends only weigh 11.6 pounds each; they are being kenneled together and have been named Dolores and Benito.
Sadly, when found, the puppies were covered in ticks, had been slightly depressed and anemic. The shelter veterinarian notes include the following:
Vet Exam (03/03/2023): Slightly Depressed, Covered In Ticks,
PCV 10% R/O Flea Anemia, Tick Borne Illness
RX Doxycycline 20mg/Ml 1.5 Cc PO BID X 14 Days
Liquitinic 3 Cc PO BID X 7 Days
SYRINGE FEED IF NOT EATING
CHECK PCV EVERY OTHER DAY
