Longtime shelter pup melts hearts and longs for snuggles in a real home

Admin

Everyone at the Lincoln County Humane Society in Ontario, Canada has a sweet spot in their hearts for longtime resident Ronin. He recently passed 150 days at the shelter and still has not been adopted.

The staff has described Ronin as the “perfect dog” who is happy to just hang out, get belly rubs or play a game of fetch. He does have some separation anxiety and has been destructive when left alone, so he would benefit from an adopter who is home most of the time and will use a crate for Ronin when he can’t be supervised or left alone.

This poor guy has not had the easiest life, but he is still very loving and happy-go-lucky.

He will require experienced adopters committed to his training and medical care, as well as an active lifestyle and fenced-in yard, no cats, and no kids under 12 years old.

Ronin has been diagnosed with epilepsy and will need to be on medication and will require annual checkups with the veterinarian.

A wonderful community member sponsored his full adoption fee to help find him his perfect home. Please click his profile link and read more about Ronin’s adoption requirements:
