Roadhouse is a one-year-old cattle dog mix, who needs to leave the shelter with an approved licensed rescue by the end of today. He is waiting for a miracle at the Kansas Humane Society in Wichita, Kansas, and here is his heartbreaking story.
Roadhouse is a very friendly dog and seems to like other dogs and humans. When he first arrived, he was vomiting, bloody diarrhea and not eating. It was noted he had been passing pieces of toys in his stools.
The shelter did an exploratory surgery on April 22 and found nothing in his bowels or stomach. Unfortunately, Roadhouse has continued to vomit, have diarrhea (no longer bloody, but now mucousy) and is still not eating. The veterinarians at the KHS recommend further diagnostics. He is currently being administered Cerenia SID x3 and Metronidazole BID. No background information or information on Roadhouse is unknown.
