In West Bloomfield Township, Michigan a group of rescuers from Almost Home -NO KILL Rescue are on a mission this morning to save an abandoned German shepherd. The dog has been wandering the streets holding his toy stuffy in his mouth. Area residents have said the dog’s owner passed away, and no one came to help the dog.
If the dog can be captured today, a foster home would really help, however the foster will need to be a strong handler, as there isn’t any information about the dog who has now been dubbed Stevie. If a suitable foster home can not be procured, the dog will be boarded until a handler for him can be found, but there is no substitute for a home environment to help mend a broken heart.
The dog will need boarding vaccinations, heartworm and flea medications and an overall physical to determine his health needs. Follow this dog’s plight on social media here.
We ask if you’re interested to complete a foster application!
Foster application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice… once he is safe and secured the rescue will be in touch.
To donate, please go to the organization’s website at www.almosthomeanimals.org and/or fill out a foster application. Together Steve’s life will be saved.
