Firefighters rescue dog whose head got caught in a tree

Admin

In Milford, New Hampshire, a sweet dog’s walk in the woods didn’t turn out to be much fun. Gracie had been on leash on a leisurely trek through the woods when something caught her attention. And just as most dogs like to do – Gracie chased it to a nearby tree, but something very unexpected occurred; Gracie’s head got caught in the tree.

And to the rescue came the brave firefighters from the Milford Fire Department. They decided not to use any power tools as not to scare Gracie anymore than she apparently already was as she fruitlessly struggled to free her head from the hole.

It wasn’t long before she was able to be freed, and one has to suspect this particular rescue situation hasn’t happened much if ever before. Many thanks to our heroes.

Gracie was soon released from her tree prison and is doing fine.
