Affectionate little ‘Buba’ on euth’ list with breathing issue needs care and a calm home

Admin

Buba is on the New York City Animal Care Center’s euthanasia list for tomorrow, Thursday May 4, 2023. This nine-year-old sweetheart is just waiting at the Manhattan shelter for someone to help, and it’s an emergency.

Buba is on emergency placement for medical reasons. He has difficulty breathing most likely because his windpipe or trachea collapses when he gets stressed or overstimulated.

Shelter notes NYCACC

Because of the overcrowded conditions, the shelter is not able to provide the care and environment Buba needs. What an awful situation for this little guy to be in. Can you help? Behaviorally he is described as affectionate, playful, shy, pushy and independent with a medium level of activity.

Buba prefers to meet new people slowly and doesn’t always like to share his food, toys or bed spots with other pets. Therefore, it would be the best for this little guy to be the only pet in the house. He was an owner surrender; his family was no longer able to care for him.
